The shipyard No Limit Ships has once again started the construction of one of its own Blauwe Stad 880 vessels. On this page, you can follow the build step by step: from the first steel plates to a fully completed hull, and through all the stages required to ultimately deliver a beautiful, luxurious day cruiser.
During the construction process, we take you through the various steps involved. This includes assembling and welding the hull, preparing and painting the surfaces, installing technical systems and equipment, and, of course, crafting and installing the interior.
This way, you can see how the vessel gradually evolves from a raw steel structure into a fully finished, ready-to-sail yacht, built with craftsmanship, attention to detail, and high-quality materials.
To achieve a perfectly smooth hull, a significant amount of filler is applied to the steel structure. The entire hull is then repeatedly filled and sanded until the surfaces of both the hull and the deck are completely even and smooth. Only then is it ready for the application of the first primer coat.
The interior of the BS31 is not built step by step inside the vessel, unlike many other ships. At No Limit Ships, we take a more efficient approach by constructing the complete interior alongside the vessel.
Because the hull consists of two separate sections — the hull and the deck — we are able to lift the entire interior into the hull in a single operation. The deck is then installed afterward. This method allows us to build the interior under optimal conditions.
By constructing the interior entirely outside the vessel, we can work more efficiently and with greater precision. The result is an interior of exceptionally high quality.
